One of my good friends Angel is a magician at culinary arts. Angel is originally from New Orleans, she went to school for culinary arts and has had numerous chef experience. She has been baking basically all her life. When I'm out with Angel some part of the evening is going to include food or she will end up whipping up some magic. I had the pleasure of meeting amazing songstress and soulful personality Jade Novah at the BE annual toasting event!

Jade has been a special artist BE Magazine has covered. I first spotted her in her cover for Rihanna's Stay that received over a million in views. I was captivated by her uniqueness, style, full and majestic voice and Broadway style of singing. It's almost as if she can fill a room with her personality alone and then her voice takes over.

Listen to her new song "Show Out" It definitely gets you pumped up, flipping that hair and a little two step! You can't help but appreciate her vocal delivery in her music. It's filled with energy, passion and an honest calling to sing her lungs out!

Also my favorite video and vocals in "Stay" I love the A-line skirt in the kitchen scene. YES mam!

It has been another prosperous and growing year. I am personally thankful and appreciative for every blessing and experience in my life. Usually I don't play Christmas music but taking the time out and enjoying the precious time around you is vital.

Nate, (in grey) one of the coolest, realest and most genuine people I have ever met. I met him my freshman year at Claflin University and quickly discovered we enjoyed modeling and dancing together. I never would have thought I would be writing a post like this.. for him.

I always thought he would be famous, either by dancing, modeling, choreographing or just his personality, find a woman who wanted him for life. He used to always send me the sweetest text messages that I will surely miss! 

The Don taught me to be 100% comfortable and confident in myself and whatever it is you have to offer. The Swagg or Class many aimed to have that he flawlessly delivered everywhere he went.

Tyler Perry has done it again! Contributing to the heavy realization of the black movie business being more than comedy, but growth, spirituality and life lessons. From the first preview I saw I wanted to see this movie!

"For Colored Girls Only" had me at the title, kept me with the talent, Janet Jackson, Loretta Devine, Kimberly Elise, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Jill Scott, Macy Gray etc , and "For Colored Girls Only" is just one of twenty influential poems, spoken by seven women, each with their own major problem dilemna and fighting through it.

I give it a MUST SEE

especially for all colored girls 

and dont hesitate bringing tissue to this movie!
