Natural Hair X Weave X Summer Vs Winter Styles

I love hair, changing up a look or updating an image. That's why I've learned how to transition my natural hair from summer to winter time. I've been natural for over a year (Honestly, it's been so long I just know it's been over a year could be two.) I love weave though, I don't care what anyone says, it is so easy to manage and helps my hair grow tremendously. 

Unlike the lies people say is you stop getting a perm it is not guaranteed your hair will fall out. Mind you I trimmed my own hair because an afro looks weird with straight ends... The routine I've now grown accustom to is straight hair during the winter so my hair can rest and I can deep condition my hair in between hair styles, while during the summer I love my hair out, being free, driving with the top down and loving my curls. Mind you it is a tad bit of maintenance because I wet and braid/twist my hair go to sleep and let it out. Sometimes it gets frizzy in two seconds and sometimes I resort to a little secret technique *wink. 

However, I have been using Miss Jessies, the new creamy crack and it defines my curl way more and gives it a brilliant shine, smell and bounce. I can easily go from jumping in a pool, shower to sleep, wake up and not look like a wet dog.

Birthday Special X 21 X Personal

I never plan my birthday celebrations. I don't even remember the last time I had a party, usually it's dinner and an outing somewhere. If I'm lucky I try something new and always buy something new or thrifted. This past year has taught me how precious life really is and how fast time flies. Fortunately I was able to take off from work, relax and plan a couple of events.

Fashion Outings on a Fall Day

Today was yet another remarkable fall day. Warm yet crisp with not a cloud in the sky.

I decided to go out with my sister and pop my Five Guys cherry, which was an experience on it's own. Especially with my A-1, Jalepeno, grilled onions loving self!

The burger was probably the perfect combination ever created and I could hardly finish. Next we walked around Edgewood boutiques, I work around Little 5 @FearlessWeirdos and wanted to try something new and the vibe of the area was similar to Garden City in New York. Below are a few snapshots of the fashion and reasonable priced treasures I found along the way!

Living downtown has made my days more exciting. Just walking outside my house I feel the energy in the air to get into something, walk down the block and learn something new. Outkast playing in my ears, Starbucks in my hand and 6" strutting.

I finally did it. All this talk and finally action*. Creating my first shirt by hand.

Its cropped and a wonderful print, I’m also making a fitted skirt too. I feel creatively fueled and passionate about what I’m doing. Once I finish thinking about one task three more ideas pop into my head.

I feel like I’m starting what I should have years ago. Like the life I’m living on the side of this one is past designing onto selling and buying and being halfway famous and boy o boy rich.

I have to stop thinking about the alternative life and live it. I already started I believe but honestly not without God’s help. Guidance and patience is needed in everything I have learned. Taking my time on one piece so it’s a quality piece and not a 99 cent store one.

I also made these pocahantas sandals I have ALWAYS wanted !!!!!

nik_gold fashion line fall 2010 is on its way. With statement pieces and classic wear, hopefully before I go back to school I will be selling to various people, even businesses.

Now until then time to wash and moisturize this hair..

I don’t mind thick hair as long as it looks healthy and right now it looks dry. In fact I miss my bowl cut from my freshman year, first semester. So I will wash deep conditions and leave in condition and curl. Don’t worry I have my heat protector, but most of all I need to feel that healthy body and movement then I’ll leave it alone for a week =]

Eh, I’ll stick to aspiring to buy my first pair of christian louboutins. =]

That’s it for now, still job hunting and such, I need money to buy cloth!! Pray for me and mine, I pray for my readers =]
