Heading into the fall with my fall/winter collection I have decided to preview and shoot with some custom pieces in the mean time. With my sewing skills growing I get to work with many different materials and enjoyed roaming the isles of MOOD when I was in NYC earlier this month. I can't believe how fast this summer went by!

Now it's back to business as I continue to expand my brand and grow my skills in making clothes, customizing pieces and of course hand making jewelry and accessories.

Reflection X Time X Growth

Time passing is inevitable and as I was looking through my pictures the other day I realized how fast it flies. When I first moved to Atlanta I was the eclectic dressing, coffee drinking, dancing blogger from New York and quickly made friends with other newbies from New Orleans, Detroit and some from Atlanta. Over time people began to appreciate my style, sarcastic personality and creative outlets. The picture below was taken by D.Sincere Photography at Fearless Weirdos Boutique in Atlanta, Georgia, long before I started working there.

 I was in the store for a fashion show and never imagined taking it as a platform to elevate me to where I wanted to be. After I left New York I wasn't sure what would happen then Atlanta became my playground to grow stronger, faster, smarter and use my uniqueness to make money, connections and build a brighter future. Wherever you are in life know that you are exactly where you need to be to get where you are going.

"Last week, BE Entertained Magazine hosted their 2nd annual #BEpampered luxury pamper suite in Atlanta, and singers Dondria (So So Def), LaTavia RoBErson(formerly of Destiny’s Child), Meelah Williams (formerly of 702), Vina Mills, &Kahdijiha Rowe (Big Rich Atlanta) came out to get a taste of the good life. The event was hosted by Tocarra Hamilton, who not only took the time out to#BEpampered, but also wowed the crowd with an impromptu performance as they received pampering services from some of Atlanta’s most talented BEauty entities.

BE Magazine & our amazing sponsors including Quente’Sential Branding, Urban Vines Wine, The Social Circle, Cutting Edge BarBEr & BEauty Institute, Jaxon’s Pastries, & Colour U Cosmetics really rolled out the punches for the ladies, providing them with the ultimate VIP experience including hair service, makeup makeovers, unique massages by our special male models, wile sipping on wine & nibbling on sweet desserts. If you have ever seen one of my favorite fashion competition shows, Project Runway, you may of heard of Rafael Cox. An ATLien and season 9 contestant whose only let the shows experience catapult him as one of Atlanta's go to designers. I was privileged to premiere my custom/handmade jewelry line Nik_Gold Designs * at BE Magazine's No Wire Hangers Fashion show late last year along side Rafael's clothing line which was premiering his new season's selections. Rafael always comes with refreshing, statement numbers and even bolder color schemes and silhouettes  I attended the event front row along side BE Magazine, Atlanta socialites, stylist, models and even some reality show stars. Great networking and lots of cameras and lots of smoke! Check out some photos of the event filled night below!

BE Magazine X Fashion Show X NGD Line Premiere Success

The highly anticipated @Bemagazine @nwhTROIS benefit fashion show for @40girls1 hosted by Love and Hip Hop's own @MimiFaust went off flawlessly this weekend!

I was beyond ecstatic as I have been planning the special night for weeks and nothing was going to stand in my way!

To top it off my best friends and true supporters @Livin_w0rth and @Aehtelayt  came from South Carolina to support and the musically inclined and always a joy to see @DimitriMcDowell

I was able to accessorize the lovely MiMi and celebrity DJ/radio personality @TraciSteele !!!

 "The evening BEgan with a VIP reception which presented 2 up & coming designers Nik Gold Designs by Nicole Ayilola & Remmarc Zelyts by Dwight Holt Jr. Guests enjoyed unlimited Cool Breeze cocktails by FOU-DRE Vodka, and were entertained by Grammy Award Nominee Torica & her live band The Perfect Mistakes."

Look of the Day X NwhTROIS Fitting X MimiFaust X Vina Mills!

Snapped a quick photo of me at my first official fitting for @BEmagazine @nwhTROIS fashion show. I opted for a chill yet classy look on the brisk November night. 

I absolutely love my pointy toe highlighter heels. I'm used to wearing heels higher than 4" but I still felt very girly in this number!

I love patterns, so this trend of big bold prints does me justice along with a beautiful colored skinny jeans and point heel shoe with my own Nik_Gold Accessories and a sharp middle part bob.

Fashion Outings on a Fall Day

Today was yet another remarkable fall day. Warm yet crisp with not a cloud in the sky.

I decided to go out with my sister and pop my Five Guys cherry, which was an experience on it's own. Especially with my A-1, Jalepeno, grilled onions loving self!

The burger was probably the perfect combination ever created and I could hardly finish. Next we walked around Edgewood boutiques, I work around Little 5 @FearlessWeirdos and wanted to try something new and the vibe of the area was similar to Garden City in New York. Below are a few snapshots of the fashion and reasonable priced treasures I found along the way!

Living downtown has made my days more exciting. Just walking outside my house I feel the energy in the air to get into something, walk down the block and learn something new. Outkast playing in my ears, Starbucks in my hand and 6" strutting.
