For some reason I really like this picture.

You, yeah YOU.

Wish this never happened to me but I'm going to push through and prosper. #problemsolver

lovely,

After a long day here are a few videos that highlighted my night before I tumbled into bed.

The one thing I hate the most is a follower.
Probably because I'm such the person who can stand alone and be completely happy with that, smiling and singing along to lyrics as happy as can be,
Seriously, I dislike when people do or say things because of rapper, artist, etc
I know they are influential and music is life,
yeah... I got that.
But when an artist starts to speak for you and his leopard jeggings become your next fashion faux pas, what exactly are you thinking?
Oh yeah, nothing because he /she is doing all the thinking for you!
Great job!

Don't act like you don't know the difference in commercials when it's an African American and a Caucasian.
I have tried to ignore this topic mostly because of my domineering mother who is so pro Afro American it's sickening, with all the "Boondocks" "The Man" is trying to get us down and blaze blaze...
I also took a college course in African American media, highlighting our struggle into mainstream communications and newspaper while rubbing in the fact that racism is real and stereotyping is not only epidemic but something that will never be stopped when it is showcased in media 24/7.

We are either the talented basketball player, the rich showcased rapper with 22 b****** all white and repeating ABC lyrics, the bum running from the cops with pants sagging and broken english & teeth to match or luckily the pretty African American female with an attitude and an over sized afro.
Oh how nice.
Also it's sickening how different the script is for individuals of a different race. We get it, realistic and relatable,  but every black girl doesn't have an attitude and talk aggressively in slang. The same for African American males, the difference is blatant and demeaning.  I don't speak for all African Americans but why the afros, attitude and the slang ALL the time? African Americans often do not speak correctly unless they are scripted for news. It's crazy how one man's idea of "black" can consume television networks and radio stations across the nation and around the world.

It's a Tea Night

This is how I feel 100%, when it pertains to my blog and bigger than that, my life. I'm the first one to spread the love, advice and wisdom but someone directly trying to change your life the way they see fit, something is really wrong with that!
Urks me until the end of time as well.

If you happen to run into a bunch of money and feel like splurging on a stranger. Purchase these items and leave them on my front steps.
"XOXO"

There are a bunch of things I love this season, but why not instead by two or three things to update your whole wardrobe? It is definitely more reasonable that way plus I want more than all the clothes and shoes a lady can never have enough of. I need another closest or for my mother to move. Whichever comes first.
My favorites certainly not everything but I work well with styling, all you really need to spruce up an outfit is the right accessories (rings, necklace, clutch, glasses) and of course shoes!

How I feel about heading back to work.

I really wanted to go out today! The last night before I start back at work. But honestly work never stopped me from going out, just delayed me a bit.
Aside for tonight. I'm super excited to start making my money and stacking up again.
*Raises hands* Whoooop!

A video for the weekend.

In the studio with Pharrell so we don't have to keep listening to Future X T.I, "Magic" for too long.

Thank you!
I also realized I hate snippets of songs.
I have to listen to the whole song in order to really FEEL it, otherwise your teasing me with a beat out of nowhere, a story line I have to piece together and one little puzzle piece that is just not going to cut it. I digress, I'll just wait for his collaboration with another one of my favorite rappers. Big KRIT.
Smile*

I was told I should listen to the mixtape.
Hmmm.
I believe I will.
Some Curren$y is always good for the soul.

I LOVE this video! There aren't a lot of alleyways to travel with a message like this aside for a girl astray.
We all have parents that we want to make proud, or make a better life for ourselves.
Thanks for the life message preacher man.
