#BTS X NikGoldDesigns

Had a blast working with Marquis #StylistQG and main photographer for Kontrol Magazine, Nathan Pearcy.  My jewelry was featured for the shoot as well as a little creative directing. The shoot was at first very earthy and eclectic and ended on a pop/future yet sophisticated look. Here are some behind the scene photos taken in between shots. Enjoy!

Nik_Gold Designs Website Premiere

This summer I have learned to focus. On my craft, my passion and how to manipulate each second of this life I live into a lesson. When each second of your time is focused it resembles a lion before he attacks his meal. It zones in. It also takes independence in your actions and focus. Like a butterfly spreading it's wings for a beautiful flight. It gives me much pleasure to be selling my creations for all _Gold supporters to purchase!

Beyonce Fancy

Nothing can stop an artist from his craft.
Beyonce solidifies this statement by perfecting the craft of performing.
And also being named the best performer since Micheal Jackson.
Yes, that very talented, understated and over accused artist that passed and now everyone feels he deserves the credit.
There are artist...
and performers.
Beyonce, Ms. Fancy is one.
Another reason why I don't call females divas who just act "boujee" not a lot can hold up to the title of "Diva".
Beyonce Fancy, well that's in her name.

Another Nik_Gold Article

I recently wrote an article including an interview for Will Packer's new movie, "Think Like A Man" based off of the book written by radio host Steve Harvey. The book is a real life rule book on real love and standards in relationships. Terrance J Howard from 106& Park, funny man Kevin Hart and many esteemed actors are featured in the movie.
It is not only a black movie but a relatable movie to all races, not only a love movie but a relationship movie that people go through regardless of sex.
The movie premieres April 20th, 2012.
I was priviledged to attend the BEmagazine Men's Issue Release Party earlier this month.
It was a pleasure to write an article for this movie which is sure to be a box office hit. Be sure to buy a copy of my article in the magazine from BEmagazine.com!

Style & Lifestyle

June Ambrose is one of my favorite stylist! Famous for reinventing Luther Vandross' image she is not only amazing and strong willed with her raspy voice and easy- secure style but she has styled celebrities from Jay Z and Chrisette Michele to Diddy and Mariah Carey. She even has her own website thejuniverse.com

She recently was the featured stylist on The X Factor and now she has her own show on VH1 called, Styled by June
One of my former classmates Aubrey Jackson totally put me on and though I rarely get to catch a television show continuously I can't wait to catch up on and enjoy. I know I will love it!

Hello Readers!

I know it has been a while since I have posted a new post on my blog.
I am now in school full time with a part time job while starting my business and maintaining a personal life and by this time next year I will be fully independent! How extreme is that?
I would like to set some standards as far as my blog goes...
I started this blog years ago as my personal journal, with current events, poetry and pictures. Not much has changed though I have added more of my interest and certainly expanded on branding and style.
This is an interactive blog and you guys can post comments on any of my posts.
This is an opinionated, fashion, music and life-style blog.
Not only am I growing as an individual but a blogger, stylist and woman.
Come with me as I take my journey through life and achieve my dreams!

New Artist Alert

So this sensation confirms that I need to always deliver new messages to my blog! The oh so blog worthy Elle Varner I actually discovered a couple months ago with her song and video ft J. Cole, "I Only Want to Give it to You."

It expressed this funky, genuine chick who like me loves shoes and boys. It should be the theme song to a woman's love life!
The video to a song I heard on the radio, "Refill" is featured below

While listening I did the whole, hmmmm this voice sounds familiar, I love the different feel, the irish undertones, riffs in her voice and soulful sound. This chick's style is off the meter and she raps.... I'm done.

Wait! She is also from California went to NYU for music (engineering and producing)* and has a mixtape out entitled "Conversational Lush".
*Stay tuned*

Note to my Readers

What I am Listening To

Iggy and T.I released this song yesterday and it has been on repeat ever since. I'm not in love with it but I can definitely hear some more collabs between Iggy Azalea and rappers of today, maybe even some Styles P?

Recently downloaded Mac Miller's newest mixtape 'Macadelic', and I must say it is easily one of the best mixtapes of the year, yes year. I have agreed with many opinions that based off of his features his mixtape is the most diverse, yet well collected mixtape out yet. Bravo! Here is one of my favorites from the mixtape featuring another familiar rapper to my blog, Kendrick Lamar.
